Welcome to Tsuchiura Megumi Church
"The church" that we believe
Welcome! You have come to the home page of Tsuchiura Megumi Church. I am Katsuhiko Seino, the Senior Pastor. I would like to tell you about “the church” founded by Jesus Christ, that continues to spread throughout the world and tell you just how wonderful it is.
“The church” is not a building. “The church” is a “flock” of believers; a gathering of people. The “flock” does not gather because of similar hobbies. It is not a group seeking to make a profit and, of course, it has nothing to do with sharing the same ethnic background. This flock called “the church” is people who confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. They search to know the truth as they read the Holy Bible and they walk in the light of the truth.
At our church we are blessed with a rich variety of activities. These activities include the following.
Family: More than a gathering of people, our church is like a family. You can relax, and be at rest when you come to our church. In this world, it feels necessary to hide one’s own faults, weak points, negligence and other weakness. To show your weakness often results in being put down. But at our church, it is different. There is no need to be nervous. We who gather here admit our weakness and admit that we are people who need a Savior.
School: Our church is a school where we study the Bible, which is the word of God. In doing this, we experience new discovery of the life touching truths from God. We experience the thrill of entering a storehouse of endless truths.
Clinic: Our church is a clinic where the sick are healed. The Lord Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” Mark 2:17 Those who feel defeated by life are welcome here. In whatever state of brokenness you may be, come as you are. God is the Lord of healing. He heals both our bodies and our hearts.
Hospice: Our church is a hospice. The church is a clinic, and also a hospice where the sick can receive gentle care until the end. Unfortunately, not all illnesses will be healed right away. Even so, we need not fear being chased out of the church. Although not fully healed, we can still keep to the path of faith while being sick. The church is a hospice.
So, if you too seek God’s truth and wish to walk the path of faith, why not start at Tsuchiura Megumi Church. We are looking forward to meeting you!
